To Strengthen Collaboration, UNISMA Establishes Japan Corner

University of Islam Malang (UNISMA) keeps on carrying out internationalization programs. On April 17, 2017, for example,the Office of International Affairs (OIA) of UNISMA held a ceremony of ‘Soft Opening of Japan Corner’in Amphitheater Room II, Al-Asy’ari Building at 3 p.m. In addition to the Rector and vice rectors, deans and head of bureaus at UNISMA, the ceremony was also attended by the Consulate-General of Japan in Surabaya, the representatives of Wako University, Simfoni Wako Foundation, and JICA.The ribbon cutting was done by the Rector of UNISMA Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si and the Consulate General of Japan in Surabaya Mr. Yoshiharu Kato

The establishmentof this corner is an implementation of the agreement between UNISMA and Wako University. Hopefully, this program would strengthen the collaboration between Indonesia and Japan. So in the future, it will able to develop human resource for both countries.

Japan Corner is the place where people can learn about language and culture of Japan. It provides Japanese Language Course which is organized by adopting Japanese curriculum and discipline technique. Besides, it also offers some information about how to study or to get a job in Japan. Japan Corner programs are not only for UNISMA students; thus, all people from other institutions are allowed to join the program.(kaff,nil)
